Is the community philanthropic?
Basis: The intent of the Team was to measure how philanthropic the people in a community are. It is possible to measure the percentage of income given to charity based on IRS 1040 tax returns filed by the residents within each Core County. The Team agreed this measurement can assess the philanthropic nature of a
community, as it reflects an individual financial commitment to causes that are valued by the residents.
