Social Composite Education
RCLI=1.01
What is the quality of our education
system?
The index focuses on three metrics, with an equal weighting of 33 percent each, to assess education quality within the community based on the following premises:
1. More teaching experience
(based on years in the state of
Colorado) yields a greater level
of teaching skill and ability;
2. The Colorado Student
Assessment Program (CSAP)
scores of 10th-grade students
reflect the students’ skill level
and readiness to advance to
college; and
3. Education is often promoted
and supported by the adults in
a student’s environment, and
therefore an understanding
of the education attainment
level (Bachelor’s degree or
higher) of adults ages 25 and
older helps to gauge their
value of education.
The world in which future generations live will likely be equally or more competitive than it is today. Educational opportunities must be monitored and understood.
